About Us
The Carlton Theatre is the home of Live Entertainment in Teignmouth - and that's thanks to the Teignmouth Players.
THE TEIGNMOUTH PLAYERS
The day to day management and running of the theatre is by the Teignmouth Players
a group of enthusiastic Amateurs with a common love of the theatre.
The main aim of the Society when it was formed over forty years ago was to promote live theatre for the enjoyment and benefit of all. This is still the aim with the emphasis on enjoyment. We are lucky in that we have our own theatre - The Carlton, which we lease from the Teignbridge District Council, and this is a great advantage to us.

DONATIONS
The Teignmouth Players are a Charity who endeavour to keep live theatre thriving in the Teignmouth area.
We aim to stage 7 or 8 full productions each year and also maintain a social involvement and support our junior section the T.Y.K.E.S.
To do this we rent the theatre from the local council and have to pay for all local services and internal maintenance items.
All this costs us over £20,000 a year before we start to put on our productions and this gets harder to find.
This is why we always welcome donations from our supporters and we would be grateful if you would consider helping us in some way. Thank you for your support.
Any donations should be addressed to:

Cheques should be made payable to THE TEIGNMOUTH PLAYERS

Some ways to help that you may like to consider
LIFE MEMBERSHIP
Is available for £100 per person.
It will be literally valid for the lifetime of the member and will give full membership rights.
GIFT AID
Members who pay standard rate Tax are invited to Gift Aid their annual subscriptions - this costs them nothing but gets the theatre an extra sum (Currently about 22%)
SPONSORSHIP
Various ways to sponsor the theatre are currently available - please email us at info@carltontheatre.com
BEQUESTS
Not the nicest of subject to discuss but it is possible to leave a bequest to the Players in your will?
DEED OF COVENANT
We have been asked if members can pay by Deed of Covenant but regret that this would not be economic as the small amounts involved would not be cost effective. Sorry.
Best of all why not encourage anyone you know to come and see the high standard productions that we put on - this is the real way to help - not only now but for the future as well.
Thank you
